How many books do you usually read at once?
Depends. I mostly stick to 1 at a time but if I’m doing a Buddy Read or a Book Club Book, I’ll read multiple. I also might jump around if I find a book particularly dry but I’m not ready to give up on it yet.

How do you decide when to switch between multiple reads?
Typically by chapters or pages. For example, one book I’m reading for a book club has us reading right about 10 chapters a week. So I’ll read those then go on to something else for a bit. If it’s a personal read, I like getting in at least 50 pages a day.

Do you ever switch bookmarks partway through a book?
That would be a no for me. Once the bookmark is chosen, it has the job until I finish the book.

Where do you keep the books you’re currently reading?
So they used to be in stacks either on my nightstand or the bookshelf in my bedroom. But this month, I decided to pre-pick my April reads. So I have a little cloth bag (perfect book size!) that I got from Derry, Ireland to hold them. Then, as I read them, they either go back on the shelf (because I loved them) or in a donate pile (because I was just meh on them).

What time of day do you read the most?
Depends on the day. During the week, I work. So I’ll try and get some reading in during my lunch break. But most of it is before bed or early in the morning on the weekend when everyone else is still asleep.

How long do you typically read in one session?
I don’t know. It really varies. At least an hour though. But usually more.

Do you read hardcovers with the jacket off?
I tried it but I found I didn’t like it. I was taught that the jacket protects the book and when I go without it, I felt too nervous. Like some disaster was going to happen because I tempted fate.

What position do you mainly use to read?
I’d say sitting in the living room on my couch or laying down in bed.

How often do you update your Goodreads reading progress?
I try to remember to do it when I’m setting the book down after a reading session; either for bed or work or some other chore. It doesn’t always happen but I try.
